BRENDA DAVISON, MSc, DipCOT

I am a practising counsellor/therapist based on the Wirral. I have over thirty years experience, having trained in counselling, psychotherapy, NLP and various other therapies.

I completed a three year course in counselling and group work with the Bridge Pastoral Foundation (formerly Clinical Theology).

I have a certificate in Group Psychotherapy awarded by the Institute of Group Analysis.

I am a certificated practitioner in Neuro-linguistic Programming.

I have a Masters Degree in Sociology, including counselling training and I also undertook research into the problems caused by minor tranquillisers, e.g. Valium (diazepam), and withdrawal methods.

I originally trained as an occupational therapist working with the physically handicapped and those with mental health problems. I worked extensively with people suffering from stress and anxiety problems, and in particular those who wished to discontinue use of minor tranquillisers.

I was an Associate Senior Lecturer at the Liverpool John Moores' University. Amongst other things I taught personal development and life skills.
